Overview:
Therapy Dogs Programme was a more specific chapter of NUS Peace, an animal welfare CCA withing NUS. TDP's main goal was to organise 2 therapy sessions per year for the stressed out students by collaborating with Therapy Dogs Singapore. The club also did fundraising to support NUS Peace in feeding the school's cat population or donation to external shelters.
Biannual TDP:
This was TDP's main event that we spent most of our time planning for. Dogs from Therapy Dogs Singapore were certified therapy dogs from loving homes. They came to help students relieve stress in exam seasons with their watchful owners.
Special SOSD collaboration:
Save Our Street Dogs was a shelter in Singapore.
In 2016, our president pitched a completely new event collaborating with SOSD. The special event presented a number of challenges, but we managed to rise above them. It ended with great participation, happy rescued dogs and some good donations to the shelter.
